How to Avoid Children Asking for “Aguinaldo” – In a Subtle Way!

Admit it, for people who are old enough to have their godchildren, Christmas is one of the days that would leave a hole in their wallet. You know what’s worse than this? It’s when you see, not just one, but more children (whom you don’t even know by the way) asking for money! These are usually your godchild’s cousin, siblings or relatives. You might probabaly be raring to know the techniques on how to get rid of these children asking for Christmas gifts. It’s not that you don’t want to give out your precious cash but you just don’t have the budget to give out money for everybody. Well, I’m pretty sure that once you got cornered, you won’t have any choice but to pull some bills from your pocket. So here are some of the tips on how to avoid getting robbed by unruly children on Christmas day:

Hide – This is one of the best ways on how to spare your wallet from being empty. But let me tell you, if you think you’re smart enough, the people looking for you will always outwit you. These children usually visit on the 25th of December up to the 27th. Usually, they come as early as 9AM so if you have plans of hiding yourself, make sure that your not at home during these days.

Stuff ‘em and leave ‘em – If you’re trapped in a situation where your godchild already caught an eye of you, don’t fret or run. Feed them and after that, use your best excuse to get out of of the scenario. Lying is bad so you have to come up with a real reason why you have to leave.

Do a graveyard shift – Staying up really late is one of the solutions that can be a good excuse. Well, there’s nothing they can do if you’re in a deep slumber. If would be a really a challenge if they would wait until you wake up, but I doubt it if they can wait that long.

Pretend that you’re asleep – They say that a man who’s awake is hard to awaken. You’re gonna need a lot of FAMAS acting skills here though.

Christmas is a day of giving. But then again, you have to save money and leave something for yourself, right? Don’t drain or pressure yourself thinking of what gifts to give because if you let yourself worry about these, you would be burned-out in no time.
