Hey! You finally made it to college on your first semester! Wait, have you ever experienced this situation, when you want to shift your course but you’re afraid your parents won’t simply agree? Well, if you decided to shift but then something crossed your mind like, “What if I won’t make it through this course?”. It’s like your stuck between a rock and hard place, right? Fella, here’s just a piece of advice that I’m gonna give you (lots will come later), it’s just your first year and so far, you’re not yet making any decision so it’s gonna be fine. Here are some of the things that you are considering now (and the solutions too!):
It’s like wasting my parent’s money for nothing
Of course not! Don’t tell me you haven’t learned anything during those six months of schooling? Sorry for those who are having a trimester though. Everything happens for a reason, besides, your subjects will surely be accredited for your next course should you choose to shift.
Mama will nag!
Don’t worry, hearing your mother nag about your decision is just like hearing another professor give you a ranting. I’m sure it’s not the first time that your parents will chew you out, right? They will soon understand, just let them know and listen to everything they tell you.
I’ll miss my classmates!
Grow up! It’s not like you’re leaving for a while because you’re just moving to a different building or classroom. Here’s something you should know about life: People come in and out of your life, so you have to keep moving no matter what happens.
If you are really persistent in changing things while it’s not yet too late, then do it. But you have to consider some things like your capacity and your parents’ budget. But they say that as long as you want to make something happen, nothing will keep you from reaching your dreams. Just follow what you think is good for you and don’t forget to ask for pieces of advice. So hope this helped a lot, ’til next post!
